Farmer Sharon holding hens and a rooster as children watch

On a perfect sunny morning, the upper blacktop was the ideal setting for the annual visit to Kindergarten by Farmer Sharon from Hard Bargain Farm.

Her fun lesson on eggs has students thinking about how farmers provide chickens with shelter, food, water and space, and how many different egg layers there are in the animal kingdom. Students now know the word oviparous!

The incubators at Mt. Daniel will be used with the beautiful array of different colored and sized eggs brought by Farmer Sharon. In about twenty-one days, eggs will start hatching.
