Fourth graders in Ms. Allan's math class are outside working to solve the historic math problem, "The 7 Bridges of Königsberg," on the TJ basketball court.
The city of Königsberg was in Prussia in 1736 when the problem was first posed. Now Kaliningrad, Russia, sits on both sides of the Pregel River and includes two large islands.
The problem looks to find a way to walk through the city by crossing each of the connecting seven bridges only once.
