Jessie Thackrey Preschool offers an inclusive preschool program for students a robust academic and developmentally appropriate education for children with and without disabilities to be in the same classroom.

Children receive academic and social-emotional differentiated instruction based on the Early Learning and Development Standards (ELDS).

Qualifications:

• Applicants must be current residents of the City of Falls Church

• Children must be 3 or 4 years old by September 30, 2025 and potty trained.

• This is a paid tuition program. Tuition rates can be found here.

• If your student is currently a 3 year old Tuition Peer Student, your child will automatically be enrolled for next school year. You do not need to re-apply.

Lottery Timeline:

• Tuition Peer Lottery Selection: Tuesday, January 21, 2025

• Slots Offered (1st round): Friday, January 24, 2025

• Deadline to Accept a Slot (1st round): Friday, February 7, 2025

• Families will have two weeks to accept the first round of offers.

• After the first round, families will have one week to accept or decline the slot.

• Subsequent seats will be offered on a rolling basis based on enrollment needs.
